About Ahmad Shah Baba Airport Kandahar
Ahmad Shah Baba International Airport (IATA:KDH / ICAO:OAKN) Is located 10 miles (17 kilometers) south-east of Kandahar City in Afghanistan. It serves as the nation’s second main international airport and was built between 1956 – 1962. The Airport previous name was Kandahar Airport and on 2019 the Airport was named by Ahmad Shah Baba Abdali International airport by the president of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
Ahmad Shah Baba International Airport is the only airport in the country which operate 24/7 and its services are available on two local afghan airlines (Ariana, Kam Air) plus one additional Iranian airline (Aseman) with flights to Kabul, Dubai, Iran, Inida and Saudi Arabia.
